here will begin my post to 'fill in all the gaps' that i haven't been posting about: i've been drinking and watching movies. there have been some videogames in theres too. i know that's hard to believe, but that's the gist of the past 2 months. i've even used up all the movies, so i have started to move into commentary tracks. i've already watched every bonus feature on return of the king exept for one of the three commentaries... that's like an entire day of my life wasted right there. with vodka.
there have been other random things... a trip to wichita that left me so plastered i showed my pubes to a friend 'out of courtesty'. i also picked up my cat on that trip, and she seems to be adjusting well now dispite initial shock. just don't tell anyone we haven't paid the deposit.
over about a month or so i had been visiting the goodwill on every day off looking for a bookshelf. nothing every turned up, and it became so devestatingly futile after the students started to show up that we finally had to break down and get one from wal-mart. $20 is not bad, but amanda just found a nicer one by the dumpster yesterday. wtf. i guess i can go to the goodwill and buy a bunch of national geo's to fill it up.
there have been various cooking experiments... i've learned the joy of frog's legs, and intend to cook some today in the fry daddy jr. or maybe the octopus... dunno. we've also let our diets slip far too many times what with the taco to the bell and the arby's. slim-fast is really yummy sometimes though. and they've made great strides with the recipe for it, which no longer tastes like blended pants.
most recently we had the concert saturday night... rufus wainwright and ben folds. ben was the big ticket there but we mostly just wanted to see rufus. the conditions were mostly disappointing... after spending almost 3 hours in line we finally get shoved into the venue, which was one big flat market square. flat ground= extremely difficult to see. then add to that the masses of ben folds fans who had never heard of rufus and were frankly quite annoying during his set. amanda's sister sorted a few of them, that was a funny sight. overall it could have been worse. we didn't get rained on, and we only saw a couple of homeless people. oh, and i think we got lost in the same ghetto cody got us lost in when we took our worlds of fun trip.
annnd... that's about that. oh, exept for all the job fiasco i've been having. i'm tired of typing, so here's the short version: i made macaroni, mashed potatoes and fried chicken at hiv. now i just fry chicken at checkers. in a week or two i'll be selling raw cow parts at checkers.
now i have to go clean up all the messes i/we made this weekend.
